Keep Moving Forward

I am living at the new resort that I am working at since I haven’t found an apartment yet. Today there has been an influx of guests walking around the resort with frozen drinks. Piña colossal are super popular and they look really good. So I ordered one to drink while I was waiting for my food. 1) I don’t drink frozen drinks like ever and 2) vodka and tequila are my go tos, never rum. However, this is delicious and takes me back to the summer when I was 19 in Costa Rica and drank piña coladas like they were going out of style.

The ending of a pretty good chapter of my life. I’ve learned a lot and grown so much from this company. It will always be home, but sometimes we have to leave one home to get closer to another. #life #work #movingon #moving #gwl #family #home #thanks (at Great Wolf Lodge Kansas City, KS)

You know where when you are a part if something and little faults or unique qualities of that something don’t really bother you, because, well that’s how life is. But then you decide to not really be part of that thing anymore and you’re just killing time until the new something in your life starts and those little freaking faults and unique traits really start to annoy you to high heavens because you know that soon you won’t have to deal with them.

Yeah. That. That’s my life right now at work. Like. I just want to tell a couple people “you’re a dick. You suck at your job. Don’t look at me.”

Four days.

Four More. Long annoying. Frustrating. Stupid days.

A perfect birthday present to myself…

I will be starting my 30th year with a new job!  I have officially accepted a position at a resort just North of Chicago.  I will be doing the same thing that I am doing in Kansas City, but I will be significantly closer to my family — 4 hours from Rosebud, eek!

I wasn’t really looking for anything new, however an opportunity presented itself and the idea of being closer to my family with the state of my dad’s current health and obviously with the news of Baby Sprout it was prefect timing.

I’ve been with my current company for 5 years and they have given me so much and have molded me into the manager that I am and I am very sad to leave.  But, sometimes in life things change and after the past year of being away from my family and wanting to be so much closer, it was very evident that 800 miles was way too far. Now its a mere 230 from my new work to Rosebud.

My last day at my current job: June 24th.

My 30th birthday: June 26th

My first day at my new job: June 30th

Happy 30th to me!
